Q: Sir, Any tips for someone that wants to do light bondage? Or what would you start with if you would have never done bondage before?

In the end this depends on how comfortable your partner is. With that being said I suggest you either play with a submissive who is experienced in bondage (Play does not necessarily involve sex ) or sit down with your partner and really discuss what you two want out of it. Bondage can be a very scary thing but very rewarding too. And sometimes the littlest things will set a submissive off. For example, my Kitty loves bondage but any kind of suspension is completely off limits.

After you openly discuss things I suggest starting with either rope (if you buy hemp or natural rope of any kind make sure you soak it in warm water over night), bondage tape, or your hands work just fine as well 🙂

Always keep your ties loose at first, show your partner how to escape if need be and always avoid the neck. There should always be an escape plan too. If you can’t undo the tie in less than 60 seconds; don’t do it. You should also keep medical shears or scissors around in case you need to cut the rope.

If you want to do shibari (which is more artsy and a little harder) I suggest getting a short length of rope for practicing knots as well as a good shibari book. Two Knotty Boy’s is great and one of my personal favorites.

But if you just wanna play around with tying your partner up I will always suggest household items such as scarves, ties or panty hose; Especially if either one of you is nervous about it. But the MOST important thing you can have with doing bondage is confidence in yourself, your ties and your ability to make your partner melt like butter under your ropes 😉

Hope this helped
